Mamaroneck Diner Close To Reopening Following Norovirus Outbreak After being given the all-clear to open following an outbreak of Norovirus by the Westchester County Health Department, the Mamaroneck Diner said it is still working to restock and prep fresh foods before welcoming diners. The Health Department confirmed Monday that people who ate at or worked at the Mamaroneck Diner last week tested positive for Norovirus, a highly contagious stomach bug that causes severe vomiting and diarrhea. Mamaroneck Diner Remains Closed Following Illnesses The Mamaroneck Diner will remain closed Monday as it continues sanitizing the building after several people became ill after visiting the popular restaurant. The diner was closed throughout Mother's Day weekend because of the situation. "We have made the decision to close again on Monday in an effort to be as proactive as possible," said a representative of the diner.
