Joe Lombardi, Daily Voice's Managing Editor, has spent his professional career as a newsroom director, manager, editor, producer, writer, reporter and broadcaster who has worked at major websites, television networks, newspapers, magazines and radio stations and as a book author.

The Manhattan native, Irvington (NY) High School and University of Dayton graduate has been actively involved in web publishing for more than 25 years. In addition, he also has expertise in marketing, public relations and social media.

Lombardi rejoined Daily Voice in September 2013 as managing editor after serving as sports editorial consultant from August 2011 through January 2012. He was named to oversee editorial operations in the fall of 2017.

11-Month-Old From New Britain Killed In Overnight Crash On I-91 In Enfield An infant was killed overnight in a single-vehicle crash on a busy Connecticut roadway. The Hartford County crash happened just before 2 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 10 on southbound I-91 in Enfield. According to Connecticut State Police, a 2006 Honda Accord was traveling in the right lane north of Exit 45 when it collided with a metal-beam guardrail. The Accord then rolled over and came to a stop in a grassy area to the right of the roadway. ID Released For Hempstead Man Killed After Being Struck By Car Near Oceanside Intersection The identity has been released of the victim of a fatal overnight crash on Long Island. It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 9 in Oceanside. While attempting to cross Merrick Road in the vicinity of Oceanside Road a man was struck by a 2020 Honda Accord traveling eastbound on Merrick Road, Nassau County Police said. The man suffered severe trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:09 a.m. by a Nassau County Police Medic. He has now been identified as Adrian Wilburne, age 53, of Hempstead. ID Released For Northern Westchester Resident Struck, Killed By Metro-North Train The identity has been released of a local resident who was killed after being struck by a Metro-North train near a station in Northern Westchester County. The incident happened on Friday, Dec. 8 around 9 a.m., when the person on the tracks at Chappaqua station was struck by a Harlem Line train, according to a MTA spokesperson. On Saturday, Dec. 9, the MTA identified the person as 42-year-old David B. Gerrard, a resident of Chappaqua. As a result of the incident, Harlem Line trains were delayed by around 10 to 15 minutes. Covid-19: US Sees Surge In Hospitalizations, Deaths; Take These Steps, CDC Director Says COVID-19 is on the rise just in time for the height of the holiday season. "COVID is starting to increase again after being stable for the last few weeks," Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) Director Mandy Cohen said this week. Nationwide, in the latest data for the week ending Saturday, Dec. 2, there was a 17.6 percent rise in COVID hospitalizations (a total of 22,513) and 25 percent increase in deaths.
