Fatal Crash: Hudson Valley Man Hit, Killed By Pickup Truck, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man was hit and killed by a pickup truck while walking along a busy roadway. The crash took place in Dutchess County around 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 28 on New Hackensack Road (Route 376), east of Boardman Road in the town of Poughkeepsie. According to the Town of Poughkeepsie Police, a 2018 Ford F-150, being driven by a 72-year-old Poughkeepsie man, struck a 57-year-old Poughkeepsie man. One person died when a fire broke out in a second-floor Hudson Valley condo unit, officials announced. Crews from the Arlington Fire Department responded to the Greenbriar Condominiums on South Road (Route 9) in Poughkeepsie at approximately 6:35 p.m. on Saturday, April 3, where there was a report of smoke coming from underneath the sink of a unit. A day after four people were found dead inside an abandoned three-story home following an intense fire, officials have pinpointed where the fire started, but are waiting for forensics results for additional details.
