Fire Damages Apartment Building In Westchester A blaze at a Westchester apartment building was stopped from spreading thanks to quick action from firefighters.  The fire happened on Tuesday, Dec. 31 at an apartment building on Cedar Street in Sleepy Hollow, according to the Tarrytown Fire Department.  Arriving fire crews found a blaze in a third-floor apartment and began fighting off the flames.  The blaze was eventually contained and stopped from spreading further, firefighters said. More information was not immediately available.

Car Crashes Into Scaffolding At Apartment Complex In New Rochelle (Developing) Firefighters and emergency responders raced to an apartment building in Westchester after a vehicle collided with scaffolding near an entrance.  The incident happened on Monday, Dec. 30 just after noon, when the vehicle crashed into scaffolding at the Faymor Gardens apartment complex in New Rochelle at 140 Pelham Rd., fire buff Domenic Ramacciato told Daily Voice.  The crash caused damage to the scaffolding. 34-Year-Old Woman Dies After Jumping From Apartment Building Roof In Westchester A 34-year-old woman died at a hospital after jumping from an apartment building's roof near the Hudson River in the region. The incident happened in Westchester County on Wednesday, Nov. 13, when the Brooklyn resident jumped from the roof of the Franklin Towers apartment complex at 50 White St. in Tarrytown, according to Tarrytown Police. Person Found Dead In Stairwell In New Rochelle Apartment Building Authorities are investigating the death of a person who was found dead in the stairwell of a Westchester apartment building.  The person was found dead in a stairwell at 345 Main St. in New Rochelle on Thursday, July 11, according to New Rochelle Police Captain J. Collins Coyne.  Detectives are currently at the scene conducting an investigation.
