ID Released For Man Killed After Small Plane Crashes On Long Island Police have identified a man killed after a small plane crash on Long Island. The crash happened around 12:35 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 6 in East Hampton off Springy Banks Road, on the water's edge of Three Mile Harbor. Responding officers located the small single-engine plane with one single operator/occupant found dead, Town of East Hampton Police said. He's now been identified as Suffolk County resident Kent I. Pilot From NYC Killed After Plane Bound For Westchester Crashes A man killed when a small plane headed for Westchester County Airport crashed into a home in Maryland has been identified. Gordon Allen, 61, of Bronx, died about 3:10 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 29, when the Grumman American AA-5A plane he was piloting crashed in College Park, located in Prince George's County, said the Maryland State Police.
