Man Found Dead After Explosion Of Propane Heater On Long Island Detectives believe a malfunction in a propane heater is responsible for an explosion that left a 63-year-old Long Island man dead. The man, believed to be homeless, was found around 5:10 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 18, in a wooded area behind Middle Country Road in Coram, said the Suffolk County Police.
