Two car fires on the westbound lane of the Southern State Parkway on Long Island slowed traffic for a short time.

The incidents took place around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 23, between Exits 36 and 37 near the Pinelawn Cemetery in North Babylon, officials said.

No injuries were reported.
