Haverstraw Food Truck Making The Rounds In Rockland HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. - Jason Quiñones' story about how he got into business with Melissa Llanos is pretty casual. At the time back in 2015 Quiñones, who is from Garnerville, was working at Beckerle Lumber, Llanos at DaVinci's Restaurant in Chestnut Ridge. The pair had worked together the previous 12 years, on and off, at Lucianna's in West Haverstraw. Quiñones knew a customer from Beckerle who owned a food truck. Rockland Man Charged With Hitting 12-Year-Old Son In Face STONY POINT, N.Y. - A Stony Point man was arrested on several charges including assault and endangering the welfare of a child after he allegedly hit his 12-year-old son in the face Thursday. An investigation into a domestic violence incident revealed that Jing Wang, 37, had intentionally struck his son in the face with a closed fist, causing injury, according to Stony Point Lt. 'America's Got Talent' Local Star Grace VanderWaal Will Perform In Rockland ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. - Suffern's own Grace VanderWaal who drew national attention in June for her performance on "America's Got Talent," announced on her Facebook page that she will perform this Friday at 6 p.m. at Palisades Credit Union Park. Contentious Airmont Overnight Parking Hearing Continues Tonight AIRMONT, N.Y. - A public hearing on changes to the overnight parking laws in Airmont will resume Tuesday night at the Crowne Plaza hotel. The Board of Trustees are considering changes to overnight parking regulations in the village, specifically changing the current overnight parking hours of 12 a.m. to 6 a.m. to between 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. and prohibiting parking overnight on village streets year round. Pomona Artist's Music-Instrument Themed Exhibit On Display In Suffern SUFFERN, N.Y. - A musician-themed art exhibit from local artist Simon Jeruchim is on display at the Suffern Free Library until July 25. In a statement, Jeruchim, who lives in Pomona, explained that he wanted to incorporate his own originality, humor, and zaniness in his depictions of musicians and singers. Rilc Re-Entry Program Dedicates New Sign To Charity In Haverstraw HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. - Participants in the Rockland Independent Living Center Re-Entry program unveiled a new sign they made for another charity in Haverstraw on Wednesday. Over 15 people from the program worked for three months on a sign for the Catholic Charities Community Services' office on Hudson Avenue in Haverstraw.
