Authorities in a Westchester County city are searching for suspects involved in two robberies that happened on the same evening at a residence and storefront.
The incidents both happened in New Rochelle on Saturday evening, Oct. 5, the city's police department announced on Monday, Oct. 7.
The first of the robberies happened around 9:30 p.m., when an Edgewood Park resident was assaulted and robbed while working on his car in his Lockwood Avenue driveway.

5 Adults, Young Child Evacuated From Burning Home In Westchester
Fire officials are investigating a blaze at a Westchester home that left several people, including young children, displaced.
The blaze began on Saturday, Oct. 5 just after 5 p.m., when a home at 439 Homestead Ave. in Mount Vernon caught on fire, according to city officials.
Five adults and two children, including a 7-year-old, were inside the house when the blaze began. Luckily though, firefighters were able to safely get them all out. No serious injuries were reported.

A traffic stop in Westchester led to the arrest of a man accused of selling illegal drugs, including fentanyl, meth, and crack.
The stop was made around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2 in Mount Vernon when New York State Police troopers pulled over a 2009 Acura RL for several violations of the vehicle and traffic law in the city of Mount Vernon, on 1st Street.

A man from the region has been accused of posing as an attorney and targeting victims, including one he allegedly scammed out of thousands of dollars.
The New York State Police have reported that an investigation has revealed that Northern Westchester County resident David Karaca, 56, of Somers, impersonated a lawyer in a virtual Alcoholics Anonymous group based in Los Angeles.
Karaca, also known as David Radcliffe and David Corazza, defrauded a victim of $7,500 for legal fees despite not being a licensed attorney, said police.
