Pug Attacks Woman, Terrier At Darien-Stamford Border DARIEN, Conn. -- A woman reported that she and her dog were attacked by a pug while walking near the Darien-Stamford border last week, police said. The 57-year-old Stamford woman was walking her Jack Russell terrier near the intersection of West Avenue and Park Lane when the attack occurred, Darien police said. A small brown pug appeared and started to attack her terrier, who jumped up into her arms, the woman told police said. Westport Police: Women Tried To Hide Shoplifted Items Inside Ottoman WESTPORT, Conn. -- Two women were arrested at a Home Goods store in Westport after police said they tried to steal merchandise by hiding it inside an ottoman. Shenice Green, 28, of Bridgeport, and Mierieke Blackwood, 28, of the Bronx, N.Y., were each charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny. Reinoso is director of the Mid-Fairfield Substance Abuse Coalition of the Human Services Council, which is a member of the Region 1 Gambling Awareness Team.
