Darien Kids Groove For A Good Cause DARIEN, Conn. -- Students at Tokeneke Elementary School in Darien danced their hearts out Monday afternoon while raising more than $4,000 to help people with spinal cord injuries. The annual Groove-a-thon fundraiser was hosted by the school's Kids Care Club to raise money for the Obie Harrington-Howes Foundation. The kids collected donations and then celebrated by dancing out on the playground for an hour. Just before 2 a.m. Tuesday, April 28, a caller reported something was burning near the corner of Hollow Tree Ridge Road and Middlesex Road, police said. The Noroton Heights Fire Department and officers arrived on the scene, where there is a construction site for houses. When officials arrived, they found a portable toilet that had been lit on fire.
