Thomas M. Boland, 82, Of Yonkers YONKERS, N.Y. – Thomas M. Boland, of Yonkers, died on Wednesday, May 27. He was 82. Boland was born on Sept. 21, 1932, to Patrick and Catherine Boland in County Clare, Ireland. Emigrating to the Bronx at age 19, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He worked as a carpenter for Local 608 in Manhattan until retiring in 1998. Walking Tours Of SoNo Public Art Planned In Norwalk NORWALK, Conn. – The Norwalk Housing Authority announced that Norwalk Public Schools students from their 20 West Art Program will be leading tours of SoNo Public Art on Saturday. The event, sponsored by the Norwalk Arts Commission, will run from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Tours will cover artwork ranging from the New Deal period of the 1930s to the 1980s. The tour starts at Washington Park, at 50 Washington St., in South Norwalk. Parking will be at the Maritime Garage, the Haviland and Webster parking lots.
