Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Car In Hartsdale GREENBURGH, N.Y. – A pedestrian was struck and seriously injured Tuesday in an accident on East Hartsdale Avenue in Hartsdale. Greenburgh Police said they are investigating the accident, which occurred near 119 East Hartsdale Ave. East Hartsdale Avenue was closed in both directions from Columbia Avenue to Rockledge Road (Rite Aid) as of 5:20 p.m. Tuesday. Police said detectives will have the road closed for several hours while they complete an accident investigation. Commuters and residents are advised to avoid the area if possible.

A 40-year-old Norwalk man called police to say he had been assaulted, robbed and locked inside of a dumpster in the area of 4 Merritt St., according to the report Officers found the correct dumpster and removed the victim, the story said.

Yonkers Bank Manager Pleads Guilty To Fraud YONKERS, N.Y. – A Yonkers man pleaded guilty Monday to taking part in a scheme to cash more than $400,000 in fraudulently obtained federal tax refund checks issued in other people’s names, the U.S. Attorney's Office announced. Edwin Mejia, 31, of Yonkers, pleaded guilty to one count of theft of public funds, which carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison, and one count of aggravated identity theft, which carries a mandatory consecutive sentence of two years in prison. Road Work Causing Delays Monday On I-95 In New Rochelle NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Road work was causing delays on I-95 in New Rochelle and Port Chester Monday afternoon. Two lanes were blocked on the north side of I-95, near mile marker 3.4, near Port Chester and New Rochelle at around 4 p.m. Traffic was delayed to the New York City line and Exit 21, I-287. Because of the road work,  there were Northbound and Southbound shoulder closures between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Overnight road work and Southbound lane closures were expected between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m.
