Hairy Situation: Police Seek Shoplifter In Fairfield Razor Thefts FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Police hope the public can help identify a woman suspected of stealing more than $2,000 worth of razors in three shoplifting incidents at Stop & Shop on Kings Highway Cutoff. The woman took about $800 worth of razors around 11:45 a.m. on Oct.30 and returned to the store at 12:50 p.m., Dec. 6, taking another $1,000 in razors, police said. Around 11:45 a.m. on Dec. 10, she took about $222 worth of razors, police said. The woman is also a suspect in shoplifting incidents at Stop & Shops in Bridgeport. Second Suspect Arrested In Payroll Check Scam At Fairfield Restaurant FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Police have arrested a second person in connection with a fraudulent payroll check scheme involving a Sanford Street eatery. Tambria Raiford, 32, of Dekalb Avenue, Bridgeport, was charged with fifth-degree larceny and second-degree forgery in the incident first reported to police on Jan. 5, police said. On that date, a manager from Crave told officers that someone had produced and cashed 10 fake payroll checks totaling about $8,500 and made out to nine people who are not employees of the restaurant, police said. Fairfield, Westport Police Chiefs Oppose Concealed Weapon Proposal WESTPORT, Conn. — The police chiefs of Westport and Fairfield have signed a letter written by law enforcement personnel that opposes the Concealed Carry Reciprocity Act. The bill, which is now being considered in Congress, would force Connecticut police departments to honor the concealed carry weapons permit from every state. Police: Someone Fired Multiple Shots At A Home In Fairfield FAIRFIELD, Conn. — Officers investigating a report of shots fired Wednesday night found bullet holes in a Candlewood Road home and spent shell casings in the street, police said.
