Westport Police: Hartford Speeder Had No License, Insurance, Registration WESTPORT, Conn. — A Hartford man faces multiple charges after he was caught speeding on the Sherwood Island Connector, police said. On Dec. 4, an officer using a speed radar clocked Luis Garcia-Perez, 30, of Preston Street, traveling 62 m.p.h. in a 40 m.p.h. zone, police said. Westport Police: DUI For Driver Found Asleep In Running Car At Stop Light WESTPORT, Conn. — A Westport man was arrested early Saturday when officers found him asleep at the wheel of his running car at a Post Road East traffic light, police said. Officers dispatched to a complaint of someone driving erratically found a vehicle driven by Joseph Pepin, 26, of Hiawatha Lane, stopped through three cycles of the traffic light without moving, police said. Beardsley Zoo Staff Works Around The Clock To Save Weeks-Old Tiger Kittens BRIDGEPORT, Conn. — The Beardsley Zoo welcomed two tiger kittens last month — and it looks like staffers are more excited than their massive mom. The zoo’s 10-year-old Amur tiger Changbai gave birth to four cubs on Nov. 25.
