Hampton Driver Dies In Head-On Rt. 31 Crash: State Police (Update) A 56-year-old man was killed after his car collided with a truck on Route 31 in Hunterdon County on Monday, Nov. 27, state police said. Christopher Jones, of Hampton, was heading north in a Subaru when he entered the left lane going against the flow of traffic, and collided with a southbound Mack truck, head-on around 7:45 a.m. in Hampton near milepost 39, New Jersey State Police Trooper Troy McNair said. Jones died in the crash while the driver and passenger of the Mack tractor suffered minor injuries. The incident remains under investigation.

Coroner IDs Warren County Senior Killed In Route 31 Wreck A Flemington man succumbed to his injuries after a car accident in Oxford Township on Tuesday, Nov. 21, according to officials.  The crash happened on Route 31 near Mechanic Street around 4 p.m. and shut down through traffic on both lanes of the highway, Washington Township police said in a release.  Ramesh R. Ramchandani, 82, was taken to St. Luke's Hospital in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where he died from multiple blunt force injuries, said the Northampton County Coroner's Office.  The manner of death was accidental, authorities added.

Tara Temby, 46, was crossing the southbound lanes of the highway when she was hit by a Saturn driven by a 70-year-old Glen Gardner man near milepost 38.4 shortly before 7:30 p.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry said. Temby, of Flemington, was pronounced dead at the scene, Curry said. No traffic resulted from the two-and-a-half-hour closure of the right lane following the accident, authorities said. The incident remains under investigation, authorities said.
