‘Unimaginable Loss:’ Donations Pour In For Owners Of Warren County Farm Destroyed By Fire Donations are pouring in for the owners of a Warren County farm and community staple that was ravaged by a fire, killing more than 40 pigs and 400 chickens. The blaze broke out at a barn at Hope Cress Farms just after midnight on Thursday, Dec. 7, according to the Hope Volunteer Fire Department, one of many crews to respond at the scene. While the greenhouse and an adjacent structure was salvageable, the fire destroyed several pieces of farm equipment in addition to killing livestock. Crews operated for over four hours. Support Surges For Longtime Hunterdon County Paramedic, Devoted Dad After Wife’s Sudden Death Support is skyrocketing for a longtime Hunterdon County paramedic and devoted dad after the sudden death of his wife. Allen Carns’s wife, Penny, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 4, one day before the couple’s 12th anniversary, according to a GoFundMe launched by Chris Ryan, Director of Hunterdon MICU.
