At 4:48 a.m. a Toyota SUV struck the back of a Freightliner tractor-trailer while both were traveling westbound on Route 80 in Allamuchy Township, Troy McNair, a spokesman for the New Jersey State Police said.
The driver of the Toyota sustained minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital, McNair said. The crash remains under investigation, McNair said.
