David Riccioni, 23, was behind the wheel of a Chevrolet pick-up truck when the vehicle lost directional control and hit a guardrail on Barbertown Point Breeze in Kingwood Township shortly before 1:15 a.m. on Sunday, Oct. 15, NJSP Det. I Jeffrey Lebron told Daily Voice.

Riccioni, of Flemington, fled the scene but was subsequently found with minor injuries before being charged with several motor vehicle citations, Lebron added.

Three-quarters of the guardrail at the bridge near Standbury Lane was ripped off from the support structure as a result of the crash, according to the Kingwood Township Volunteer Fire Company, which also responded.
