Motorcyclist Killed In Route 1 Crash, 2nd Fatal In Same Day In South Brunswick Two people were killed in separate crashes in South Brunswick including a motorist from South River and a motorcyclist from Pennsylvania, authorities said. At 5:56 a.m. Tuesday, April 23, officers were alerted to a single-car crash on Route 535.  The preliminary investigation shows a Nissan Maxima, operated by a 65-year-old man from South River, left the roadway and struck a utility pole. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene and his identity is being withheld until notification is made to next of kin.  The investigation is still active and anyone with information is asked…

First Responders Called To Rollover Crash, Wires Down, Tree On Fire On Jersey Shore Firefighters, police and EMS crews were called to a report of an overturned vehicle in Ocean County, authorities said. The vehicle struck a utility pole and downed live which reportedly set a nearby tree on fire, according to initial reports. SUV Hits Parked Car, Slams Into Utility Pole In Glen Rock An SUV hit an occupied parked car before slamming head-on into a utility pole Monday in Glen Rock. Neither the Honda Pilot nor the driver who was making a cellphone call in a sedan parked in the 500 block of Harristown Road was injured in the afternoon crash, responders said. A flatbed tow truck removed the wrecked SUV, while the sedan was driven from the scene.  Borough police responded. The SUV hit a parked car and then the pole on Harristown Road in Glen Rock.Boyd A.
