Toms River Pedestrian, 61, Airlifted After Being Struck By Car A 61-year-old pedestrian from Toms River was critically hurt when he was struck by a car while crossing the road, authorities said. On Monday at 4:58 p.m.,  police were dispatched to the intersection of Vaughn and Windsor avenues for a reported pedestrian struck. Carl Cereghini, 61 of Toms River, entered the roadway in an attempt to cross when he was struck by a vehicle traveling north on Vaughn Avenue, police said. Cereghini sustained serious injuries and was flown to Jersey Shore Medical Center in Neptune where he was listed in critical condition, police said. The dr…
