Bicyclist, 61, Struck, Killed In Jersey Shore Crash
A 61-year-old bicyclist from Ocean County was killed when he was struck by a Jeep, authorities said. On Monday, May 2, at 9:40 p.m., Stafford police responded to a collision on Route 72 westbound near the Garden State Parkway. Investigation indicated that a 2012 Jeep operated by Ronald Sheehy, 55, of Waretown, was traveling west on Route 72, and transitioning into the far right lane to access the Garden State Parkway north ramp, Stafford police said. Convicted NJ Sex Offender Photographed Child In Costco Bathroom: Police
A convicted sex offender has been arrested for photographing a child under a Costco bathroom stall, authorities said. On April 22, at 5:21 p.m., Stafford police responded to Costco Wholesale, at 219 Stafford Park Boulevard, for a report of a suspicious person. Police met with a complainant who said his 7-year-old child had been photographed by the man. An on-scene investigation revealed that the suspect had been involved in previous incidents at Costco. A 37-year-old man wanted on a warrant was arrested on the Jersey Shore on multiple drug charges involving methamphetamine and heroin, authorities said. On Sunday at approximately 5 p.m., Stafford police received a call in reference to suspicious activity at 1236 Grays Road in the Warren Grove section of Stafford Township. Police found John B. A 29-year-old man from the Jersey Shore has been charged with endangering the welfare of a child in connection to his son's suspicious death, authorities said. Waretown Man, 27, Killed In Stafford Township Crash
An Ocean County man was killed Sunday when his Jeep struck two parked vehicles and a tree, authorities said. Thomas Ronacher, 27, of Waretown died after his northbound Jeep Grand Cherokee veered across several lawns on Nautilus Drive and crashed near Quadrant Road, Stafford police said in a statement. The vehicle wasn't discovered until 6:48 a.m. because it left the roadway in a poorly lit area of the Ocean Acres section of town, they said.
