Jersey Shore Pedestrian Who 'Ran Out Into Traffic' Lost Everything In Forest Fire Last Month A 55-year-old woman from Ocean County was killed when she ran out into traffic on Monday evening, authorities aid. The victim was identified as Kathleen M. Winits, of Brick, a homeless woman who last month lost her belongings in a forest fire, news reports say. The fatal pedestrian crash occurred at 6:55 p.m. at Route 70 and Olden Street, according to Brick Township police.  Winits was crossing Route 70 going towards the Brick Motor Inn Motel, against the pedestrian crossing signal, and she was not in the crosswalk, police said.
