An Ocean County man admitted to pulling a knife on a pharmacy employee in a robbery, authorities said. A pair of men from Ocean County have been charged with setting a home on fire in Little Egg Harbor, authorities said. A man and two boys were accused of robbing another boy late at night, authorities said. Little Egg Harbor police said officers responded to the robbery report at around 10:26 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 24. It happened near the 7-Eleven on Radio Road. A Powerball ticket from the Monday, Dec. 25 drawing with a $50,000 jackpot was sold at a 7-Eleven store on the Jersey Shore. The Christmas Day ticket was purchased from the 7-Eleven store at 800 Radio Road in Little Egg Harbor (Ocean County). The winning numbers were 05, 12, 20, 24, and 29. The Powerball was 04. Pedestrian Struck, Killed On Jersey Shore: Police
An 86-year-old man was struck and killed by a pickup in Harvey Cedars on Long Beach Island, authorities said. Ralph Alston, of Little Egg Harbor, was hit while crossing Long Beach Boulevard near the intersection of 80th Street at about 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 1, according to Harvey Cedars Police Chief Robert Burnaford. Alston was airlifted to AtantiCare Regional Medical Center, where he died of his injuries, Burnaford said.
