School Bus Carrying Students Bursts Into Flames On Garden State Parkway
Ten students and their bus driver were uninjured when their school bus burst into flames on the Garden State Parkway in Cape May County Wednesday, April 17, firefighters said. Firefighters and EMS units were dispatched to mile marker 20.8 south in Upper Township around 2:30 where the bus had erupted in flames, according to Seaville Fire Rescue. Heavy flames were shooting out of the bus when responders arrived, and all 10 students and the bus driver had already safely exited. Authorities have identified the Monmouth County motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on Route 18 in Colts Neck, authorities said. Vladimir Gorelov, 20, of Eatontown, died in the wreck on Tuesday, Apr. 9, a Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office spokesperson said. Woman, 34, Killed Walking Along Garden State Parkway
A 34-year-old woman from Pennsylvania walking along the Garden State Parkway in Middlesex County, NJ, was struck and killed by a pickup truck, authorities said. Liliya Rosenblum was struck by the Chevrolet pickup at about 4:50 a.m. on Sunday, April 14, in the southbound left lane near milepost 130.2 in Woodbridge, New Jersey State Police said. The crash occurred at about 6 a.m. Thursday, March 14 southbound near milepost 62 in Eagleswood Township, according to New Jersey State Police. The Hino truck driver lost directional control, ran off the roadway to the left, struck the guardrail, and came to final rest in the wooded area, said Trooper Troy McNair, a State Police spokesman. The crash occurred shortly after 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 7 on the outer roadway northbound near the exit ramp to Interchange 11, according to 511nj.org. Tyrone Sapp Dies In Motorcycle Crash
A Monmouth County man was killed after crashing his motorcycle on the Garden State Parkway, authorities said. State police said 46-year-old Tyrone Sapp of Neptune died in Toms River on Sunday, Mar. 3. Troopers responded to the crash on the northbound side of the parkway near milepost 83.6 at around 6:50 p.m. Investigators said Sapp went off the left side of the road, hit a guardrail, and flipped over his Harley-Davidson.
