Three Teens Crashed Stolen Vehicle In Atlantic City: Police
Three teens from Galloway were accused of crashing a stolen vehicle in Atlantic City, authorities said. The boys were arrested on Friday, Apr. 19, the Atlantic City Police Department said in a news release on Monday, Apr. 22. The teens are 17, 16, and 15 years old. The city's automatic license plate reader system detected that a vehicle stolen from Neptune entered Atlantic City from Route 30 at around 4:51 p.m. Officers tried to stop the vehicle but the driver sped away and the pursuit was ended "due to the safety of the public." Man Found Dead With 'Several Wounds' Inside South Jersey Home
An Atlantic County man was found dead inside a home with several wounds, authorities said. The body of 42-year-old Shawn O'Neill of Galloway was discovered by township police at around 2:49 p.m. on Wednesday, Apr. 17, the Atlantic County Prosecutor's Office said in a news release. Officers found him with "several wounds to his body" in a home on the 400 block of South Odessa Avenue. An autopsy will be conducted to determine the cause of O'Neill's death. Two police officers in Atlantic County were injured, including one who was stabbed, while responding to a call, authorities said. The family of an Atlantic County mother and former restaurant owner is mourning her death. Melinda Schriver of Galloway died on Sunday, Feb. 11 at 45 years old, according to her obituary. The cause of her death was not mentioned. Schriver was born on Friday, Sept. 8, 1978, in Vineland, and she was a lifelong resident of Galloway. She was an Absegami High School graduate and studied business administration at Atlantic Cape Community College. Several dogs rescued from an Atlantic County hoarding situation are ready to find their forever homes. Some of the 25 dogs saved from a Galloway home are now up for adoption, the township's police department said on Thursday, Feb. 15.
