Sorsoap Featured On 'Shark Tank'
An Ocean County company that makes a therapeutic type of muscle-massaging soap is now swimming with a Shark. The Brick Township-based company called Sorsoap was featured on an episode of ABC's 'Shark Tank' that premiered on Friday, Apr. 12. The company was founded by David Restiano and Dr. David Staats. Dr. Staats owns a physical therapy clinic on Brick Boulevard. Restiano was one of his patients before the two became business partners. Brick Police Seize Crack From Bicyclist, Arrest Fugitives On Warrants
Brick police made a number of drug arrests, including one involving a bicyclist. On March 2 at approximately 10:15 p.m. Ptl. Morgan Murphy observed an erratic driver on Brick Boulevard. Murphy initiated a motor vehicle stop for failure to maintain lane and use of a cell phone while driving. Brick Street Crimes Unit (SCU) Detectives arrived to assist with the stop. Brick Police Department's Street Crimes Unit (SCU) made multiple drug busts in January involving heroin, crack cocaine, pills and paraphernalia, authorities said. On Jan. 24, Street Crimes Unit detectives observed a vehicle traveling on Drum Point Road and Brick Boulevard exceeding posted speed limits and failing to maintain its lane of travel, police said. A pair of alleged car burglars were caught after a wild chase in which the suspects tried to carjack several cars before smashing into an Audi, authorities said. Five people have been arrested in Brick Township on various drug-related charges, authorities said. A "hand-to-hand" deal was observed by detectives late last month in the Briar Mills Apartment Complex. Investigators recovered heroin, crack and paraphernalia, they said. Brick Police Bust Trio For Drugs, Seize Car After Stop
Brick police arrested three people and seized their car after finding crack and pot during a Wednesday morning traffic stop, authorities said. Street Crimes Unit members found driver Michael Trotman, 35, of Pine Beach Borough carrying less than a half-ounce crack and a small amount of marijuana during the 9 a.m. stop near Brick Boulevard and Schoener Drive, Brick police said.
