Stamford Youth Orchestra Calls For Instrument Donations STAMFORD, Conn. -- Stamford Young Artists Philharmonic is launching an instrument drive to help Stamford public schools, which have music programs but lack the funds to purchase instruments.  The instrument drive and donation will take place Monday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Westhill High School. Fishkill Woman, 19, Charged With Drug Possession After Rollover WAPPINGER, N.Y. – New York State Police from the Wappinger barracks arrested Lydia B. Vanpelt, 19, of Fishkill, Wednesday on charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor, and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. Troopers were dispatched by Dutchess County 911 to a rollover auto collision at the intersection of Old Hopewell Road and Dean Avenue. State Police Seek Public's Help In Search For Wanted Man DUTCHESS COUNTY, N.Y. -- New York State Police and the Columbia County Sheriff's Office are attempting to locate Daniel K. Josefsberg, 40, on warrants for first-degree criminal contempt, violating orders of protection, criminal obstruction of breathing and assault.  Josefsberg may be in the Columbia County area. He is described as 5-feet 4-inches tall and weighing 160 pounds. Anyone with information on his location is urged to call the New York State Police at 518-851-3111 or the Columbia County Sheriff's Office at 518-828-3344. All information will be kept confidential.

Man Saved In Apparent Attempt To Jump From Tappan Zee Bridge A state trooper talked a man out of an apparent suicide attempt on the Tappan Zee Bridge on Saturday morning, according to a report in lohud.com. Trooper Andrea Wilson responded to a report of a disabled vehicle on the south side of the bridge about 6:45 a.m. and found a man about to jump off, lohud reported.  Wilson was able to persuade the man not to jump after talking with him for about a half-hour, according to lohud.
