Kelemen Keeps Mayoralty in Bogota BOGOTA, N.J. -- Bogota Republican Mayor Christopher Kelemen trounced Democrat Councilman Lisa Kohles to keep his seat on Tuesday, according to unofficial results from the Bergen County Board of Elections. Photographer Showcases Travels At Tenafly Jewish Community Center TENAFLY, N.J. — Susan McTigue will present an opening exhibit of her photography, “The Joy of Seeing,” on Tuesday at the Kaplen Jewish Community Center on the Palisades. McTigue chose roughly 40 photographs from her travels to Europe to Utah -- as well as her own backyard, where she snatched a shot of a red-bellied woodpecker momentarily perched on the trunk of a tree. “I took this when I was 18 - it was probably 1969,” she said of a black and white photo of a man from overseas. Ridgefield Student Singers Win Fifth Of All Spots In Bergen Chorus RIDGEFIELD, N.J. — Forty-one students from Ridgefield Memorial High school have been selected to participate in Bergen County Chorus’s 53rd season. “It is a musical oasis here,” said Matthew Tracey, who heads the high school's music department and directs the band. “We’re one of the smallest high schools with 430 students, but 60 percent of them are in band or chorus."
