At 4 p.m. firefighters responded to Pittstown Road for a brush fire, the Quakerstown Fire Company said. Firefighters arrived and found four acres of a field burning, resulting in the New Jersey Forest Fire Service utilizing a controlled burn to help extinguish the blaze, officials said.  It took 20 minutes for the blaze to be contained, firefighters said

The fire broke out in the village of Sergeantsville shortly after 12 p.m., prompting a response from crews in Quakertown and Stockton. Firefighters found the barn fully engulfed in flames that required more than 3,000 gallons of water to douse.
