A 73-year-old Bayonne woman was fatally struck by a vehicle while crossing Route 46 in Parsippany on Monday, April 8, authorities said. At 11 a.m., Sonia Diaz was crossing Route 46 West at North Beverwyck Road in Parsippany, when she was struck by a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which collided with a second vehicle, a Kia Forte, Megan Knab, a spokeswoman for the Morris County Prosecutor's Office said. First responders tended to an overturned vehicle in Parsippany on the afternoon of Monday, April 8, authorities said. At 4:53 p.m., a driver was trapped in an overturned vehicle following a two-car crash at Brooklawn Drive and Glencove Road, the Mount Tabor Volunteer Fire Department said. Two people were injured after an SUV collided with a truck on Route 80 in Parsippany on Monday, Feb. 12, authorities said. At 1:21 p.m., New Jersey State Troopers responded to the crash between an Honda SUV and a Freightliner box truck on Route 80 East at milepost 46.2, Troy McNair of the New Jersey State Police said. The truck was run off the roadway, struck a guardrail and began to spill diesel fluid, McNair said. Storm Knocks Power To Thousands In North Jersey
Thousands of residents in northern New Jersey were without power as of Tuesday, Feb. 13 amid the snow storm that dropped several inches on the region. The JCP&L outage map shows 2,390 had no power in Warren County, mainly in Harmony Twp., Lopatcong, Phillipsburg, Pohatcong, and White Township as of 11:35 a.m. In Somerset County, nearly 900 residents had no power, mostly in Branchburg (790). Nearly 1,500 Hunterdon County residents were also in the dark. Those residents without power are mainly residents of Clinton, Holland, Lebanon, and Readington. Restoration times varied.

A 98-year-old woman was killed and a 71-year-old man hospitalized with serious injuries as a fire raced through and collapsed a Morris County home on Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 19. Motorcyclist Killed In Route 280 Crash In Parsippany
A 44-year-old man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 280 in Parsippany overnight on Friday, Oct. 27, state police confirmed. Jason M. Otero was riding a Harley Davidson eastbound when the vehicle ran off the left side of the roadway, hit a concrete barrier, and overturned near milepost 0.5 in Parsippany-Troy Hills shortly before 1:15 a.m., New Jersey State Police Detective I Jeffrey Lebron told Daily Voice.
