Massive Multi-Car Fire Under Investigation In Sussex County (Photos) Officials in Sussex County are investigating the cause of a massive fire that ripped through several vehicles in a local parking lot over the weekend. The Hardyston Township Volunteer Fire Dept. responded to the blaze in the employee parking lot at 3 Wild Turkey Way just after 4:40 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 28, the squad said. Upon arrival, crews found several vehicles fully engulfed in flames and immediately began extinguishing efforts. Guilty: Woman Admits Stealing Funds While Treasurer Of Sussex County Youth Program A Sussex County woman admitted in court Monday to stealing youth group funds while serving as its treasurer, authorities said. Justine Lynn, 44, pled guilty to theft at the Sussex County Courtroom in Newton, Prosecutor Francis A. Koch said. Lynn, of Franklin, stole between $500 and $75,000 from Wallkill Valley Junior Football and Cheerleading Inc. while serving as its treasurer in Hardyston Township between Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, and Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2019, Koch said. The blaze was reported at 3409 Rt. 94 in Hardyston Township just after 4 p.m. Saturday, the township volunteer fire department said on Facebook. Crew members placed hand lines in operation after ensuring that all occupants had safely exited the home, authorities said. The fire was placed under control about an hour later, and no injuries were reported, authorities said. Photos: Fierce Blaze Engulfs SUV In Hardyston Township A Hardyston Township driver had just refueled a Hyundai SUV before it burst into flames on Route 94 Wednesday morning, fire crews said. Police and fire crews from Hardyston, Sparta and Hamburg were called to the area of Christian Faith Fellowship Church just after 11:15 to put out the blaze, which completely engulfed the vehicle, the department said on Facebook. No injuries were reported, and Route 94 was reopened after approximately 45 minutes, authorities said. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

Douglas Domicolo Of Hardyston Dies, 34 Douglas "Doug" Joseph Domicolo of Hardyston Township died on May 28. He was 34 years old. Born in Newton, Douglas graduated from Wallkill Valley Regional High School and earned his Associates from Sussex County Community College, according to his obituary. He had been working as a millwright and machinist for PSEG for the last 5 years.
