More than a dozen fire companies provided mutual aid at the blaze, which broke out at a home on Old Mountain Road in Clinton around 1:20 p.m. on April 20, the Township of Clinton Division of Fire said. Seven-hundred feet of large diameter hosing was laid out to reach the fully involved fire, which was set back far off the road on steep terrain, authorities said. Long Valley Family Displaced In House Fire The local police department is collecting gift cards for a Long Valley family displaced in a house fire over the weekend. The parents and their two small boys made it out of the Lenore Court house, but lost nearly everything in Saturday's 3:30 a.m. blaze, first responders said. The Washington Township Police Department is collecting gift cards between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
