Honda Recalling 750K+ Vehicles Nationwide Due To Faulty Air Bag Concerns
More than three-quarters of a million Honda and Acura vehicles are being recalled due to potentially faulty air bags that could cause them to deploy unexpectedly.
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) announced that the motor vehicle giant is recalling upwards of 750,000 cars, SUVs, minivans, and pick-up trucks due to the malfunctioning air bags, which could pose a safety hazard, the agency says.

A 22-year-old Boston woman will face charges after she fatally struck 19-year-old University of Massachusetts Dartmouth student Frank Petillo Jr. earlier this year, authorities said.
Danasia Sampson, of Mattapan, MA, was charged last week with motor vehicle homicide by negligent operation, the Bristol County District Attorney's Office said. Sampson is also a student at the university.

Man Arrested In Fatal DWI Crash That Killed Central Jersey Woman, 45: Prosecutor
A 20-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a fatal DWI crash in Old Bridge on Sunday night, July 16, authorities said.
James Cannici of Old Bridge has been charged in the crash that occurred at 11:17 p.m. on Route 18 and Ferris Road, according to Middlesex County Prosecutor Yolanda Ciccone.
Florence Akoma, 45, of Sayreville was a passenger of one of the vehicles involved in the crash, Ciccone said. Akoma was pronounced dead at the scene.
Cannici was arrested at the scene for Driving While Intoxicated, the prosecutor said.

Driver Who Sped Away From Trooper Crashes, Suffers Serious Injuries On NJ Turnpike (Update)
A 49-year-old man from New York who was stopped in the shoulder of the New Jersey Turnpike was seriously injured when he suddenly sped away from the trooper checking on him, hitting another vehicle Sunday morning, May 14, authorities said.
The man was stopped in a Honda Accord on the shoulder near milepost 54.2 in Bordentown, when a trooper came over to check on him around 10:35 a.m., NJSP Sgt. Philip Curry said.
Suddenly, the Accord sped off, crossing from the outer roadway to the inner roadway, striking the passenger side of a Honda Odyssey, police said.

Driver, 19, Dies In Fiery Central Jersey Crash
A 19-year-old driver died after he ran into a trailer on the shoulder of a Woodbridge highway, authorities said.
A Freightliner truck with a utility trailer was parked on the right shoulder of Route 440 north when a northbound Honda Accord struck it, according to New Jersey State Police.
The driver, Joey Lopez, of Staten Island, left the road, entered the shoulder and struck the trailer at 12:24 p.m. Monday May 1, according to State Police spokesman Sgt. Philip Curry.
Both vehicles caught fire and Lopez died as a result of the crash, Curry said.

The man from Marlton was driving a Honda Accord west on South Black Horse Pike in Monroe Township around 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 14 when he tried to turn left, the outlet said, quoting Monroe Township Police.
The car was turning across the eastbound lanes when it was struck near its rear passenger side by a Chevrolet Corvette that was heading east, the outlet said.
