An ex-con caught with several pounds of heroin, cocaine and fentanyl —not to mention a loaded gun — in his Ocean County apartment has been sentenced to 20 years in federal prison. Dyshawn Moss, 43, of Manchester, was found guilty of drug and weapons offenses, including being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm, in U.S. District Court in Trenton last year. Did the item at Dollar General not actually cost $1? The discount retailer chain was forced to pay a fine of $1.2 million after repeatedly engaging in merchandise pricing violations at several stores throughout New Jersey, Attorney General Matthew Platkin said. A New Jersey couple was killed in a crash in Virginia last week, according to their obituaries and news reports. Corey Wetmore, 28, of Brick Township, and Brittany Forsythe, 26, of Browns Mills, both died in the Halifax County crash on Wednesday, Nov. 15, Virginia State Police said. Wetmore was heading south in a 2006 GMC Envoy on a Virginia street around 8:15 p.m., when the vehicle ran off the right shoulder, State Police said. All New Cars Must Be Electric Come 2035 In New Jersey: Murphy
New cars in New Jersey will look a little different in 2035. Gov. Phil Murphy announced that by 2035 all new vehicle sales in New Jersey will be zero-emission vehicles (ZEV), with the transition beginning in 2027. Advanced Clean Cars II, which takes effect on Dec. 18, requires manufacturers of passenger cars and light-duty trucks to meet an annual ZEV requirement intended to increase the percentage of electric vehicles sold in the state.
