The Goodwill store on Black Horse Pike in Egg Harbor Township will hold a grand reopening on Thursday, May 2. Woman Killed, Five People Injured In Three-Car South Jersey Crash
A Camden County woman was killed and five other people were injured in a crash on a busy road in western Atlantic County, authorities said. Karina Castillo, 29, of Pine Hill, was killed in the crash on Black Horse Pike near High Bank Road on Wednesday, Apr. 3, the Township of Hamilton Police Department said in a news release. More than 50 people were arrested after police broke up a large cockfighting ring in Atlantic County, authorities said. Galloway Township police executed a search warrant at a home on the 300 block of South Bremen Avenue on Saturday, Mar. 9, the department said in a news release. A nonprofit thrift store in Egg Harbor Township is recovering after it lost all of its merchandise in a fire on Monday, Jan. 15. Between Sunday morning, Dec. 10 and Monday morning, Dec. 11, the area that got the most amount of rain was Deerfield with 4.45 inches, then Flemington/Hopewell, with 4.29 inches. Tolls Going Up On Atlantic City Expressway
Tolls on the Atlantic City Expressway are going up next year, officials said on Thursday, Nov. 17. Starting Jan. 1, 2023, cash tolls on the 44-mile Expressway’s Egg Harbor and Route 50 toll plazas will increase from $4.40 to $4.55 for a passenger vehicle. Expressway tolls are going up by 3% from year to year, said Kimberly Testa, a spokeswoman with the South Jersey Transportation Authority. Massive NJ Forest Wildfire Is 95 Percent Contained, Officials Say
A massive wildfire that destroyed 13,500 acres in New Jersey's largest forest is 95 percent contained, authorities said. The New Jersey Forest Fire Service released the latest update on Wednesday, June 22. The fire at Wharton State Forest extended to the townships of Washington, Shamong, Hammonton and Mullica.
