Coastal Flood Warning In Effect For Jersey Shore Due To Offshore Storm, Full Moon
Many parts of New Jersey are under a coastal flood warning with an offshore storm and a full moon expected to fuel high tides, forecasters said.
The National Weather Service issued the coastal flood warning in Atlantic, Burlington, Cape May, Middlesex, Monmouth, and Ocean counties at 6 a.m. on Monday, Mar. 25. The NWS said the warning would be in effect until 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 26.
A storm out in the Atlantic Ocean will increase offshore wind speeds and make waves larger, according to the NWS. That will combine with Monday night's full moon to create "widespread tidal flooding."

Newly Minted Millionaire: Powerball Lottery Player Takes Home $2M In South Jersey
There is a new millionaire in South Jersey.
One lucky Powerball lottery ticket matched five of the five white balls for the Wednesday, Feb. 28, drawing.
The ticket won a $1 million second-tier prize. The ticket was purchased with the Power Play option, multiplying the win to $2 million, state Lottery officials said.
The winning ticket was sold at Smoker’s Outlet, 123 W. Clements Bridge, Runnemede in Camden County.
The winning numbers for the Wednesday, Feb. 28, drawing were: 16, 26, 29, 38 and 50. The Red Power Ball number was 06. The Power Play was 2X.

Heroin, Fentanyl, Cocaine Dealers From Trenton Busted In Toms River: Prosecutors
Two Trenton men are accused of selling heroin, fentanyl, and cocaine across Ocean County, authorities said.
Jireh Mathis, 27, and Tashawn McDonald, 23, were arrested after a two-month investigation. Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley Billhimer announced their arrests on Monday, Jan. 29.
Police began surveillance on Mathis and McDonald in early December 2023. Mathis drove McDonald to the Green Meadow Apartment Complex in Toms River on Monday, Jan. 22.

Here's Who Got The Most Snow In Monmouth County From Latest Winter Storm
The National Weather Service has released snow totals from the latest winter storm.
In New Jersey, the most amount of snow from the Friday, Jan. 19 storm appears to have fallen in Hopewell Township (Cumberland County) and Mount Royal (Gloucester County), where 6.5 inches of snow were reported.
Atlantic County: Dorothy, a section of Weymouth, got 6.4 inches, the most amount of snow across Atlantic County. Six inches fell in Atlantic City, 5.6 in Mullica Township, 5.5 in Mays Landing, and on average, between 2 and 6 inches across the county.

Thousands Without Power In Central Jersey Due To Wind, Downed Lines
Widespread power outages were fueled by high winds and flooding, authorities said.
As of 9:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 18, Monmouth County was the hardest hit with more than 15,500 homes and businesses without power, according to Jersey Central Power and Light.
Ocean County reported 2,420 without power; Middlesex County experienced 1,109 outages; Mercer County had 955 outages and Burlington County had 90.
There also were scattered outages in Camden and Gloucester counties, PSE&G reported, saying there were 427 outages across South Jersey.
