Two Who Torched Maryland Home, Blocked Door With Mattress Accused Of Attempted Murder: State PD Two Maryland men who tried to set a house on fire with people inside on the Eastern Shore were arrested this week after being caught red-handed with the fuel they used to set it, state police say. Lascelles David Beckford, 37, a Somerset County resident, and Dante Jamar Stone, 34, of Salisbury, went through great lengths in an attempt to torch the home of two people they were familiar with, according to officials. Maryland The Independent Investigations Division (IID) of the Office of Attorney General released its investigative report on Wednesday, Aug. 31 regarding the fatal officer-involved shooting in Somerset County earlier this year. Shortly before noon on Monday, April 25, Somerset County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a 911 call from a convenience store in Westover after a man later identified as William Robert Brink allegedly held up the business at gunpoint while demanding money before fleeing the area.
