It happened near the 3600 block of Powder Mill Road in Beltsville. PGPD Officers responded around and found a woman lying in the roadway around 4:50 a.m. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Police ID Pedestrian Fatally Struck Crossing Busy Maryland Road Police are investigating a fatal pedestrian collision that occurred in Mount Airy earlier this week, authorities say. Alex Fernandez, of Mount Airy, was killed after being struck around 6 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 13, in the 1000 block of Ridge Road, according to Howard County police. Fernandez was pronounced dead at the scene following the collision. The driver and sole occupant of the Chevy remained at the scene and was not injured in the collision. Ridge Road was closed for around five hours after the collision. The investigation is ongoing.

Man Dies After Being Struck By Vehicle In Montgomery County A 39-year-old man has died following a fatal pedestrian collision in Gaithersburg, authorities say. The victim was struck in the area of Midcounty Highway and Miller Fall Road around 8:42 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 22, according to Montgomery County police. Investigators say that the victim, who was located in the roadway, was hit by a red Saturn Aura. The driver of the striking vehicle remained on scene following the collision.
