Several Northwest High School football coaches as well as Gaithersburg High School's Athletic Specialist have been let go after a massive fight during a football game against the two schools last month, reports Fox 5 DC. The varsity football game on Friday, Sept. 16 was declared a double forfeit after the fight that appeared to have involved both players and coaches from both teams. Trail Of Blood Leads Police To Wounded Pit Bull Shot During DC Home Invasion
A pit bull was allegedly shot during a burglary in southeast D.C. in an early morning robbery, reports Fox 5 DC. The dog was reportedly shot around 1:30 a.m., Friday, Oct. 21 in the area of 18th and 23rd Streets. Officers arrived to find a home with an open window screen and a trail of blood leading to the dog who was suffering from apparent gunshot wounds, the outlet continues. The Supreme Court of Virginia has rejected an attempt by the Loudoun County School Board to shut down a Grand Jury investigation connected to the handling of two sexual assaults, confirms officials. Rockville police are looking for a man who stole more than 50 steaks and two 12-packs of beer, together worth over $1,000, from a Rockville Town Square business, reports Fox 5 DC. There have been a rash of bank robberies in Maryland with four banks targeted within a matter of two days in Montgomery and Prince George's counties, according to FOX 5 DC.
