Body Found In Burning Car Outside Lynn Dry Cleaner
Officials responded to a report of a car fire to find one person dead inside the vehicle, police say. Police responded to the reported car fire at 43 Boston Street in Lynn, where Toomey's Cleaners is located, at approximately 9:20 p.m. on Thursday, June 1, according to the Lynn Police Department. The fire was extinguished and one deceased victim was found inside. Nearby building sustained minor damage from the blaze. A man with dementia was located safely after going missing from a New Hampshire Costco, officials say. Michael Fairbrother, of Tyngsborough, was reported missing after he was last seen at a Costco on the Daniel Webster Highway in Nashua, New Hampshire on Thursday, June 1 at approximately 3:30 p.m., according to the Tyngsborough Police Department. Woman Killed In Marlborough Parking Lot; Suspect In Custody: DA (DEVELOPING)
A woman was killed in the parking lot of a Marlborough hotel Thursday, June 1, afternoon, and police have captured a suspect, authorities said. Police were called to the hotel on Lakeside Avenue just after 12:30 p.m. and found the body. Police did not say how she was killed or how they found their suspect. They also did not identify either of them. Marlborough police and the Middlesex District Attorney’s Office are investigating the slaying. A 48-year-old Somerville woman is accused of strangling and assaulting her elderly mother, who was found dead on Sunday, May 28, in the younger woman's home, authorities said. April Monroe is charged with strangulation and assault and battery on a person over 60 causing serious bodily injury in connection with an alleged assault on her mother, the Middlesex District Attorney said.
