Boston Woman Alters, Cashes CT Resident's Checks: Police
A Massachusetts woman has been arrested after she was allegedly caught altering and cashing a Connecticut resident’s checks years prior. Isis Serrano, a Boston resident, was arrested on Wednesday, Feb. 7 for the Fairfield County incident, according to police. The 24-year-old woman is accused of fraudulently altering and cashing checks from a resident of the town of Wilton in 2019. She was 20 at the time of the reported crime. Man's Body Pulled From Charles River In Boston
Police dive teams pulled a man's body from the Charles River in Boston on Monday afternoon, Feb. 12, authorities announced. Witnesses said they saw a man struggling to keep his head above water around 11:30 a.m. near the Longfellow Bridge. But no one was able to save him. A former Olympian who was accused of sexually abusing more than 50 boys beginning in the 1970s admitted to the crimes in court on Thursday, Feb. 8, and was sentenced to more than a decade behind bars, authorities said. She Touched Many Lives: Mass Native Dies In New Jersey Car Crash
Stephanie Weymouth, a Wilmington native, is being remembered for her passion for teaching and performing after being killed in a car crash earlier this month in Jersey City.
