East Boston Man Sliced Woman Repeatedly In Front Of Her Kids In New Year's Attack: DA Shortly after the ball dropped in Times Square, an East Boston man was in handcuffs for what police say was a vicious attack on a woman in front of her children.  Erick Arevalo, 23, is charged with armed assault with attempt to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife), assault and battery and assault and battery on a family or household member, the Suffolk County District Attorney said.
