A 47-year-old Maryland man is accused of sending sexually-explicit messages to a minor earlier this year in Prince William County, authorities said. Lamar Bobby Hopkins, of Oxon Hill, MD, was an acquaintance of the victim who received the disturbing texts in February 2023, in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said. A 26-year-old Maryland man is being sought for raping a girl he met on social media, authorities in Virginia said. Dimas Alexis Lazo, of College Park, met the girl on a social media app and arranged to meet at a home in Woodbridge, Prince William County police said. Lazo was found sexually assaulting the girl inside of the home by a family member who intervened on Nov. 26, 2023, around 12:30 a.m., county police said. Google and Microsoft have a new neighbor in Prince William County. Reports said Amazon recently purchased nearly 60 acres of land to in Gainesville for nearly $90 million.
