A Washington D.C. man has been arrested in connection to a New Year's Day murder in Silver Spring, authorities say. Maurice Ricks, 28, is accused of shooting the victim during an argument around 6 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 1, in the 8500 block of 16th Street, according to Montgomery County Police. A fugitive with multiple felony charges out of Anne Arundel County has been found and taken into custody, police say. A D.C. teen was arrested for the murder of a 45-year-old man in June, officials said. On June 25, just before 5 p.m., police responded to the 1700 block of West Virginia Avenue where they found 45-year-old Jason Ford, with a gunshot wound and showing no signs of life, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.
