Buchanan Man Faces Animal Abuse Charges BUCHANAN, N.Y. -- The Buchanan Police Department, working with the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals of Westchester, has arrested Michael Champion of Buchanan on animal abuse charges after they say he failed to treat a puppy’s broken leg and other infractions. Champion surrendered to authorities on July 20, the same day the Criminal Court of the Village of Buchanan issued a warrant for his arrest on alleged animal cruelty charges.
