Yorktown Heights Police Arrest Teen For Possession Of Marijuana YORKTOWN HEIGHTS, N.Y. -- Yorktown Heights Police arrested a 16-year-old Mohegan Lake resident for possession of marijuana after the teen failed to perform a routine traffic procedure. Officer Michael Caprio initiated the traffic stop around 1:30 a.m. on July 26 after observing the driver fail to stop at a stop sign on Curry Street. Upon further investigation, police discovered 15 grams, or roughly half an ounce, of marijuana. Officials are withholding the teen’s name due to eligibility for youthful offender status concerns. Shrub Oak Storm 12U Goes Undefeated At Cooperstown Tournament SHRUB OAK, N.Y. -- The Shrub Oak Storm 12U baseball team traveled to Cooperstown All-Star Village this summer and wound up playing like baseball hall of famers. The team traveled to Cooperstown All-Star Village in Oneonta from June 27 through July 3. Rain delays weren’t going to derail the Storm, however, who did something that no other Shrub Oak team has ever done by going undefeated (5-0) in pool play.
