Over $250K Raised For Families Of Deputy, Cop Killed In Shootout On Quiet Suburban NY Street
More than a quarter of a million dollars has been raised to support the families of a police officer and sheriff's deputy killed in a shootout with a suspect who also died on a quiet suburban street in upstate New York earlier this week.
The two officers were Onondaga County Sheriff’s Deputy Michael Hoosock, age 37, and Syracuse Police Officer Michael Jensen, age 29.
Hoosock is survived by his wife, Caitlin, and their three young children, ages 7, 5, and 3.

A Connecticut teen was charged with rioting, threatening police, and other crimes for his part in a street takeover event.
New Haven County resident Adalberto Oceguera, age 18, of West Haven turned himself in to Connecticut State Police on Thursday, March 7 for taking part in several street takeover events including one in Meriden on Saturday, May 6, 2023.
According to State Police, during an extensive and ongoing investigation into numerous street takeover events, Oceguera was identified as a co-conspirator in the damage of a Meriden Police cruiser which occurred on May 6.

Missing CT Man, 58, Found Safe

A missing Connecticut man has been located safe, according to the Hartford Police Department.
Howard Francis, of Hartford, had been reported missing on Tuesday, Oct. 10 after he failed to show up for a medical procedure, officials said.
Lt. Aaron Bosivert, of the Hartford Police, said Francis was found on Wednesday, Oct. 11, and was unharmed.
