A 29-year-old man is now charged in the death of a Connecticut mother and son last year after he allegedly crashed into them on the side of the interstate after their car broke down.
Derion Coker, of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, faces two counts of second-degree manslaughter with a motor vehicle, two counts of evading responsibility resulting in death or serious injury, and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, Connecticut State Police said Tuesday, June 6.

New Street Racing Busts: 3 More Nabbed In Connecticut
An additional three people have been arrested in connection to racing incidents dubbed “street takeovers" in Connecticut, according to police.
Three people, including a 20-year-old woman, were arrested for street racing among other charges in incidents in Hartford County (in Berlin) and New Haven County (in Waterbury), Connecticut State Police announced on Monday, June 5.
Those arrested were:
Flor Hiram Santiago, aged 43, of Meriden;
Tednnessy William Torrellas Hernandez, aged 37, of Waterbury;

DUI Crash: Trumbull Woman Charged After Hitting Traffic Cones In Fairfield, Police Say
A local woman has been accused of driving under the influence after police say she crashed into cones on a stretch of northbound I-95 in Connecticut.
The incident happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, June 4 in the town of Fairfield.
The right lane was closed near Exit 22 due to an earlier crash, Connecticut State Police said,

Accused Dealer Busted: 34-Year-Old Charged For Norwalk Drug Sales
A Fairfield County man has been charged with possession of heroin and crack with an intent to sell following an investigation into drug sales in the area.
Robert Dennison, age 34, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Friday, May 26 by Norwalk Police Special Services agents during the execution of a search warrant, said Lt. Joe Dinho, of the Norwalk Police.
The warrant was served at a home in Ryan Park on Raymond St., in Norwalk, Dinho said. During the search, officers found Dennison in possession of crack and heroin which contained fentanyl and were packaged for sale, Dinho said.
