A 78-year-old Connecticut man returned home with a smashed car, a broken cell phone, and a swollen face after a road rage assault sparked by a lane-merging dispute, police said.
Jason Paul Maisonave, of New Milford, was arrested and faces multiple charges stemming from the incident just before noon on Friday, Dec. 7, on Route 7 in Brookfield, according to Connecticut State Police.

A 24-year-old man who allegedly pointed a BB gun at a tow truck driver on I-95 in Fairfield County and slowed down to 5 mph has been charged by state police.
Dae Jesus Acosta, age 24, of Central Falls, Rhode Island, was arrested around 2:30 p.m., Monday, April 29, in Darien for a road rage incident.
According to Connecticut State Police, a tow truck driver called 911 after Acosta, who was trying to merge onto I-95 in Darien, in front of the truck slowed down to 5 mph and then pointed what looked like a gun at the driver. He kept following the car for several miles.

A man has been arrested following a road rage incident that took place on a Connecticut highway, police announced.
Litchfield County resident Kenneth Mack, age 64 of Harwinton, was taken into custody for his alleged outburst on Thursday, Nov. 2, according to Connecticut State Police.
At approximately 2:40 p.m. that day, Mack and another driver were traveling on Route 4.

Police have identified two men killed and released new details after an apparent road rage incident on a busy roadway in the region.
The incident took place in Putnam County on Interstate 84 in the town of Kent early Saturday morning, July 2.

A Fairfield County woman has been charged for allegedly beating a juvenile in the head and face on I-95 after cutting her off at an exit.
Allyah Beeman, age 27, of Bridgeport, was arrested on Wednesday, March 2, for the incident which took place on Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2021, at the I-95 exit in Bridgeport.

Three Family Members Arrested In Connection To Fairfield County Road-Rage Incident
Three Fairfield County residents have been arrested in connection with a road-rage incident in which a man later died.
Emanuel Matias, age 25, of Stamford, was arrested for manslaughter Wednesday, Dec. 8, said Lt. Tom Scanlon, of the Stamford Police.
Matias, who has been in custody since the Wednesday, Nov. 17 incident, when he was charged with assault on the 71-year-old Michael Frank Gentile, of Stamford, when he allegedly attempted to run them off Cold Spring Road.
Gentile died two days later, from what medical officials said was blunt force trauma.
